Work

Three jobs, told properly.

We are a contract manufacturer. For twenty-three years our work has reached buyers with somebody else's logo on it, and most of our contracts don't allow us to say whose.

So this page does something less common than a client logo wall: it shows the work and the technical problem behind it. If you want named references, ask on a call — we will get the client's permission and put you in touch.

Case 01 — Foil that survived a three-millimetre deboss

The brand's mark had to sit in gold foil at the bottom of a 3 mm deboss. Our first trials cracked the foil along the shoulder of the deboss every time.

We changed two things: the board lay-up, so the greyboard compressed evenly instead of shearing, and the shoulder angle on the brass die, cut back from 45° to 30°. The third trial held. The client approved from the production sample without a site visit.

Case 02 — A gift set that stopped rattling in transit

Six components in one tray. The set passed our bench test and failed the client's 1.2 m drop test — two units shifting in the insert and marking the lid.

Cut EVA couldn't hold that tolerance at volume. We moved to a moulded pulp insert with a 0.4 mm interference fit on the two heaviest components. It passed at 1.5 m, and pulp costs less than EVA at 8,000 units.

Case 03 — Same shelf look, on 100% FSC board

Their retailer required certified board halfway through a running contract. Switching stock normally shifts the colour enough to force a relaunch.

We re-profiled the ink build for the uncoated FSC stock and pulled the shade back to ΔE 1.8 against the existing carton — inside the client's tolerance. The two cartons ran side by side on shelf for a full season and nobody noticed the change.
